Before
then I stripped it of most of its meat and there was quite a bit of meat we didnt eat last night
then I put the bones in the pot
then I put in 3 carrots, 3 celery stocks and one onion
one of the celery stacks had gone soft in the middle
so I just cut it out
then I cut up the celery
then the carrots
and last the onion they always make me cry
I left the skin on as I had read it adds a nice colour and then threw all the veggies in the pot
and then I added some dried parsley and thyme I didnt measure it just put quite a bit in
this is what it looked like
then put it on the stove with the other pot and am letting it cook for 4 hours on brought it too a boil on high and then lowered it to low medium
its all cooked down
and then I strained it a little at a time to make it more manageable
yummy broth
and then the bones, meat and veggies need to be sorted out and I'm keeping the meat and veggies to can those as well
and then it went into the jars and then one at a time into the pot my pressure cannier is small but I still love it
this is the end product of canned turkey broth
this is the first pressure canned item I have ever made
and just the bones are left to throw away I feed the meat I didnt want to eat too the dogs
